2025 Ins & Outs (Part 1) 👰🏻‍♀️💒

Pristines' Hot Take On This Years Trends ⤵️

HAPPY NEW YEAR BRIDAL DIAIRIES GANG!

& Happy Wedding Year to our 2025 Brides- this is your year! We hope that Wed-min is treating you well and you haven’t had any (or at least, not many) Bridal breakdowns!

This is a very exciting year for Pristine. We have spent the last few months upgrading our packs and our systems so that the flow for a Pristine couple is as slick and efficient as can be (those of you who have been opening your emails this week can hopefully vouch for this!). We are also expanding our team again (yay #Pristeam!) and we are officially launching Pristine: Destination Weddings, with bookings in Italy and Turkey! Of course alongside this, we have lots of exciting UK weddings coming up this year and are working at both familiar and new venues!

We thought we’d start off this year’s Bridal Diaries with the ‘Ins’ & ‘Outs’ of 2025 to give you some food for thought in case you wanted to incorporate any of these in your big day! Today’s newsletter is just Part 1 & is focussing on the INs:

INS:

1) Wedding Weekends With Activities

Whilst destination weddings have always been popular, we are seeing an increase in the requests for wedding weekends in the UK too and we are here for it. Having your events spread over a few days (even if it’s your wedding and reception spread over two days!), allows your guests to be fully relaxed and to have free time to spend with each other. More importantly, it allows YOU to be more relaxed as opposed to frantically running from ceremony back to the Bridal Suite for your hair and make up and then back to the reception etc. We’ve seen lots more venues offer multi-day hire and also activities such as golf, spa, outdoor games and wellness sessions which guests can make use of between the events!

2) Bold Colour Palettes

Don’t get me wrong, I will always be a green and white gal as my go-to for an elegant and clean wedding palette BUT I’m definitely loving the bolder brighter colours. Whether it’s a wildflower scheme, a holiday sunset scheme with fuchsias and oranges or even unique combinations of baby blues and lilacs- you’re going to be seeing more colour everywhere this year! Even if you don’t want to consider colour everywhere, you could add small touches within the stationery or bouquets.

3) Big Statement Draping

Draping is underrated and we are seeing a huge return of it this year. Big draping is a great way to elevate your event. Whether you’re doing a marquee wedding or you just don’t like the walls of your wedding hall, speak to your stylist/production company to see if they can add some draping and pea lighting in for that extra wow factor.

4) Private Vows

The last few years were all about private reveals to each other, but private vows are something everyone should be considering. It’s so lovely to get married in front of all your friends and family but some couples may want to say their deepest most sentimental words just to each other. This could be done before the ceremony (alongside a reveal) or after just before the couple shoot. This is also perfect for those couples who are a bit more shy!

5) Vintage Cakes

These have been SO popular recently, and we don’t see that changing! Ranging from large tiered cakes to smaller heart shaped cakes, the vintage vibe can be done across everything! We’ve even started to see a comeback of the pillars (very 80s!) between tiers as opposed to the clear acrylic spacers and the old school style Bride & Groom figurines!

6) 3D Statement Seating Plans

These have always been popular and we love that it’s a creative way to show personality but also to allow guest interaction. These can vary from eat/drink-able ones like the ‘take a shot, take a seat’ style ones, sentimental ones where the couple have written a personal message alongside your seat number or themed ones like baubles on a Christmas tree which I recently saw at a wedding… the options are endless!

7) Film Style Photography & Documentary Style Videography

Has anyone seen an increase in the slightly fuzzy/grainy style photography on their feeds? Obviously that’s not the correct term but we are all for that raw, unedited and authentic look! We are also loving the documentary style of videography where videographers interview the couple and family members and add that into the wedding video, documentary style!

8) Guest Colour Palettes

We are seeing popularity in ‘Wedding Wardrobe Guides’! This is a guide for male and female dress codes for your wedding! It works perfectly whether you just want to give your guests a specific idea of what to wear or if you had a colour palette for your event that you’d like them to stick to. We personally think it looks so aesthetic to see guests in different shades of the colour palette- the photos are 👌🏼

9) Content Creators

It’s safe to say content creators are thriving in the current wedding world! Whilst they can cause some controversy amongst photo and video teams, we personally love them! They shoot your wedding day from a different angle, including candid moments, words of loved ones and ‘bloopers’.

10) Mismatching Styling

All matchy everything isn’t a thing anymore. We are loving bold mismatching prints, satin with ruched material texture combinations and using fruits and vegetables as decor for centrepieces.

Hope you liked our 2025 ins- please bear in mind that these are just trends and at the end of the day it’s your wedding so you have to do you!

Stay tuned for the Pristines’ 2025 outs 👀

Happy Planning!

Love,

Priya
